1. Parental permission is required in writing before a student may take part in a school-sponsored activity that involves travel away from the school campus.  Special forms are available from the office for this purpose and must be signed by your parents.
2. Students must travel on school transportation to all out-of-town activities and return the same way, unless parents are present at the activity and arrange with the sponsor or coach to take charge of their child.  CHS  will not release students to travel to or from a school activity with a person other that the student's parent/legal guardian.

Insurance
Medical insurance coverage is available for a very reasonable fee for the school year.  Parents are responsible for medical payments not covered by the policy, or for when the student is not insured.

Q.
Visitors
All visitors must report to the front office.  Parents, community members, and guest speakers are welcome.  Unregistered students are
NOT allowed to attend regular classes.  All visitors must have an educational purpose for their request to visit.

R. 
Portable Audio/Video Equipment
Students are not allowed to use personal audio/visual equipment (e.g.. walkmans, video games, CD players, radios, "boom-boxes" etc.) in classrooms.  Personal equipment brought to school is the responsibility of the student and should be secured to prevent the possibility of theft.
Cell phones may not be used during school hours and must be turned off.  Phones will be confiscated if violations occur.  Repeat offenses will result in parents having to pick up phone from school.





S.
Closed Campus
CHS operates under a closed campus policy.  Upon arrival to school, students are to remain on campus, including lunchtime, until 4:00 PM.  Unauthorized areas during lunch include the parking lot, gate/gym entrance, shop/maintenance, track, and in back of the east/west sections of the main building.  Exceptions to the above require staff permission.  Students needing to leave school for any reason must follow checkout procedures.  Students leaving campus without permission will be considered truant and will be subject to disciplinary action.

Skateboards/Rollerblades
Skateboarding and rollerblading are prohibited on campus.
